Itinerary :

GREENWICH - Here we can admire the magnificent riverside buildings of the former Royal Naval College and the National Maritime Museum. The Zero Meridian Line runs through the Old Royal Observatory and we can see, in dry dock, the "Cutty Sark".

LEEDS CASTLE - Built on two islands within a lake, this intimate castle with its magnificent gardens, has been described by Lord Conway as ‘the loveliest castle in history’. Edward I made it a Royal Palace for his wife, and now, nearly 800 years later it contains a superb collection of Medieval furnishings, tapestries and impressionist art as well as delightful gardens. Your visit here will be truly memorable!

DOVER – Dover is the key to England’s fascinating history and here we can view the famous White Cliffs and the Castle which, standing 400ft above sea level dates back to the 12th century. We then drive past the entrance to the Channel Tunnel, en route to Canterbury.

TIME FOR SHOPPING AND LUNCH – Your guide will be pleased to recommend a lunch venue for you to enjoy. There will be time for shopping in Canterbury.

ENGLISH CREAM TEA AT LEEDS CASTLE
– English Cream tea with Scones served in the splendid Fairfax Hall, a 17th century tithe barn.

CANTERBURY – This fascinating, medieval city has been centre of English Christianity since St. Augustine arrived in 597. The magnificent Cathedral, dating from the eleventh century is the seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury and contains Royal tombs and glorious 13th century stained glass. It was also the scene of the gruesome murder of Thomas a Becket in 1170 and is a splendid example of medieval architecture at its finest.

This tour finishes at approximately 6.30pm.
