Not because the code is " nEW " meaning Nine European Wonders, but it is indeed a fresh new programme for 2010. Partly due to the fact that Switzerland has become one of the Schengen states, this is a tour is created just to celebrate. Indeed a pleasant number of days, yet you visit 9 countries. Have no fear as it is planned to be nicely paced and we bet you will soon be telling all your friends about it.

Day 1 London / Dover / Calais  / Paris

                             

Meet your tour manager in our eye-catching uniform at the arrival terminal of Euston British Rail. By 07.30 a.m. we head for Dover to catch our P/O Ferry for Calais port. Soon our trusty coach brings us into the SIN city of Paris, the capital of the great French country. Paris, the city of a thousand clichés - the ‘City of Lights',  but for once it is also a city that justifies the hype. The French capital is one of the world's truly great cities, a metropolis that lavishly satisfies the desires of tourists and business people alike and manages to retain a standard of living that makes becoming a Parisian so alluring. After dinner, why not enjoy a night cruise?

Day 2   A day in Paris

After breakfast, accompanied by your professional tour manager, it is time to show you first hand the most glamorous city in the world. We see Notre Dame, the main church and a masterpiece of medieval art. The Arc de Triomphe, Champs-Elys'ees, Place de la Concorde, Trocadero Gardens, the Opera House and the Grande Dame of Paris - Eiffel. There is definitely time for you to explore the city exclusive shopping endeavour in your own time. You could choose to bask in the soft sun, watch the world of fashion ambling by, while sipping you caf?by the Caf?de Paris in front of Paris Opera house. Life is a long session of doing nothing.

Day 3   Switzerland, here we come !

Reluctantly one must leave, southwards this morning, passing through the region of Burgundy. Burgundians here live life to the full, the area is a rich and varied heritage which you are warmly invited to explore. From Gallic remains to Romanesque towers, from the art treasures of its cities to the splendours of its châteaux, from its early industrial memories to its most futuristic creations ?all of this is there for you to see and enjoy, along the way are townships that gave French wines their names: Auxerre; Avalon ; Beaune; and Dijon. This evening, the glow of dusk reflects the spectacular display of lights from the lake of Lucerne, as we enter the township of Sisikon, charmingly sets on the shores of one of five major waters of Switzerland.

Day 4   Lucerne tour / Berne / Fribourg

The Lake Lucerne area and its township is a perfect example of what Switzerland is all about. As we drive along the shores, laced with weeping willows, graceful swans and mandarin ducks, beckoning sirens from pleasure boats, are here to capture your heart and to slow down your pace for a second look. Follow your tour manager, stroll into the old town, visit the Lion Monument commemorating the bravery of Swiss Guards; the Old wall with its 11 watch towers; the Kappell Bridge and the beauty of its Rococo Churches. There are numerous Swiss watches show halls; chocolate shops to spend a good few hours. You will have an opportunity to visit the famous Mt. Titlis on the world's first revolving jumbo cable car, a ride to its summit at 10,000 feet above sea level is exhilarating, ask your tour manager about it today. Next destination in the early evening, to Berne, the capital of the country. We make a short stop by the Old Town hall of Bern, the city has been featured in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1983. Take a look round this fabulous cultural site and enjoy the charm of the covered arcades, cobbled streets from the ornate 13th Century fountains in the old streets to the decorated facades all the way to the Bear Pit, symbol of the town. Dinner is ready by the time we get to our hotel in the village nearby, the Bernese Oberland is famous for its rich cheese and organic milk.

Day 5   Fribourg / Geneva /  Turin

A short drive this morning, we skim along the coastline of the crescent shape lake the waters of Lac Leman, or in its common name - Lake Geneva. See the jet d'eau, a major tourist attraction of the city. It was in 1951 that an autonomous pumping station was provided to propel 500 litres of water per second to a height of 140 metres at a speed of 200 km per hour, indeed a spectacular sight. Geneva’s famous flower clock, located at the edge of the Jardin Anglais (English Garden) is a masterpiece of technology and floral art, must not be missed. Continue to the League of Nations, the Palais des Nations became the headquarters of the United Nations is the second most important centre of the United Nations after New York. Over 25,000 delegates meet here annually to negotiate for world peace. Surrounding this vast complex are the International Red Cross; the International Water Association; World Health Organisation; the World Labour Organisation etc. You then go under the mount Rosa in to Italy. This evening, we come to the famous city of FIAT motor cars, manufactured in the city of Turin for dinner and overnight.

Day 6   Milan / Lake Como / Lugano / Vaduz / Reutte village

Just an hour away, is Milan. Situated on the flat plains of the Po Valley, Milan is also the capital of Lombardy, Italy’s richest and second largest city. Wealthy and cosmopolitan, the Milanesi enjoy a reputation as successful businesspeople, equally at home overseas and in Italy. Embracing tradition, sophistication and ambition in equal measure. We get off near to the world famous opera at La Scala, to view this recently renewed building where the stage was graced by Caruso; Pavarotti and the tenors, and more. Across the street is the municipal buildings where Da Vinci and his students look on. Entering the huge La Galleria, world renown “shopping cross? (because the roof is in a shape of a glass domed cross) shopperhoic will go wild to find Prada; Versace; Valentine, Gucci and more under one roof. Not too far away, is the Duomo Square. See the Cathedral of Milan, decorated with 4000 pointed steeples, spire and statues, try see if you can spot the most outstanding and famous baroque gilded bronze artwork of the ”Madunina?  Otherwise, go inside the Duomo, look for the marble statue San Bartholomew. This life size work of art tells how the saint being viciously martyred for his beliefs, he is carrying his own skin, depicting how he was killed. In the afternoon, we enter the lake district of Italy, passing by the collection of Lake Como; Lake Lugano and Lake Lucarno. Stop for lunch on your own and perhaps view in distance the old wall of the township Bellinzona. Next stop, the Principality of Liechtenstein. The Country with only a dozen police work force, indicates its social harmony and security. Walk along the main street of Vaduz its capital, you must not miss the castle perching on top of the hill where the Royal Family still resides. There is the coin and stamp museum, one of the main income of this country where each month a new set is distributed around the world for collectors and enthusiast. Climbing up the Fern- pass, we soon enjoy our specially arranged dinner in the quaint village of Reutte.

Day 7   Reutte / New Swan Castle / Heidelberg / Rhine area

20 minutes to cross over in to Germany, we come to the region of Bavaria. The charm of Romantic Route is here. Atop the ever-green pine forest, we come face to face with the diamond on the crown, that fantastic New Swan Castle. This seemingly a pendant made from ivory onto the Alps, is spectacular just to view from afar, let alone to wander amongst its grounds and walls. You will have an hour to enjoy an outdoor hike, we promise you lungs of fresh air and exhilarating views. The German highway is ever so efficient, it brings us without much hassle to the Student Prince city of Heidelberg, where time is spent on the Hauptstrasse for window browsing and to enjoy the Student City. Not far above the valley of the Neckar, is the 13C old red sandstone castle and its huge balcony. After dinner, we enjoy a good rest at your hotel in the township of Hockenheim.

Day 8   Rhine drive / Koln / Brussels / Wavre

Along the mighty River Rhine, this morning. As the glorious sun shines upon the endless vineyards and over 30 sets of ancient castles as delightful as the Cat castle and the Mouse castle.  We drive pass the charming villages of Bingen; Rhudesheim; St. Gore and Boppard; At Loreley rock, we make a stop to see the treacherous bend of the river, that legend is told of the wicket daughter of the river god. She bewitched sailors and fishermen, luring them with her sweet vocal and finally to their death at the rock. In a clear day, from then on you could see the tall steeple of the Koln’s Dom in the distance. We make a stop for your own visit and meal, or check it out at the impressive German shopping street before we continue to Brussels. In the Belgium's capital, orientation stops are made at the Atomium and the Chinese Pavilion both, built for the 1958 World Fair. Follow your tour manager, through the Grand Place surrounded by gold-gilded gables, say " hello " to the child hero: Manneken Pis. This evening, after a scrumptious dinner at Chao Chow City Chinese restaurant, we spend our night in the township of Wavre.

Day 9   A day in the Netherlands

After breakfast, prepare yourself for a treat, to the Pancake Country of the Dutch. Holland and her capital Amsterdam. We visit the canal-laced city of Amsterdam, why not board an informative cruise on a glass-domed boat, a short cruise alongside the 16-17 century merchant houses and homes is the best way to soak in the atmosphere that is uniquely Dutch. At Gassan, we see how raw stones are polished into sparkling gems, the skills on which so much of the prosperity of Holland depends on. In a local handicraft factory, discover where have all the 3 million pairs of wooden shoes gone, perhaps purchase one for yourself. Of course, we do not miss the charm of the countryside where the Windmills still work. An exhilarating day ending back at Wavre hotel.

Day 10   Calais / London

Could you believe it, ten days have passed before you say “Cheese? All too soon, as we pack our bags to board the P/O ferry. In the afternoon, we are back to the good ole English soil, here your tour ends upon arrival into London.
